Platonic Realms welcomes submissions of content for the areas of the site listed below:

  • Minitexts: Long-form (1,000 to 3,000 words), in-depth articles on subjects of broad interest to mathematics students and enthusiasts. Material must be accessible to a general readership and may not assume prior training beyond beginning algebra.
  • Encyclopedia articles: medium-length (<1,000 words) articles on a single, tightly-focused topic. Articles should be pedagogical in nature, written for the level of reader likeliest to be first learning about the topic in a standard curriculum.

Submissions we are interested in will first be subject to internal and external review for quality and mathematical soundness. Submissions that pass the review process will receive an offer of purchase of all rights. Offers vary but run about $25–50 for encyclopedia articles and $75–150 for minitexts. All published articles will include proper citation including the author's name(s) and institutional affiliations.

Prospective submitters are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the level and tone of the writing on the site. To make a submission, query first using the contact form. Include your credentials, contact information, and a brief outline of your proposed submission. Note that we are only able to consider one submission at a time from any author. We look forward to hearing from you.
